Following the lead of his father, Nordmark started playing drums at a very early age. Even though he has become the black sheep on the family due to the stylistic choices of music, the majority of the family on his fathers side have been jazz musicians. After having entered the music scene with the band Fireside in the nineties, Nordmark and the band won the Swedish Grammis for the album Do not Tailgate. This lead to a record contract with the label American Recordings and live sets at Lollapaloosa as well as a tour in the United States. Fireside later released three more albums: Uomini D’Onore, Elite and Get Shot. As well as playing in Fireside, Nordmark was playing drums in hardwore/noise band Breach which was nominated for Metal of the Year for their album Venom at the Swedish Grammis in 1999. Later Breach released the album Kollapse before launching his solo project Bad Hands in 2008. In 2010, Nordmark, along with Gustav Bendt and Christoffer Roth, started the band Kriget. They have released four albums since their conception: What a Day, Submission, Dystopico and Fazed. Collaborations include Familjen, Teddybears, Britta Persson, Frida Hyvönen, Mattias Alkberg, Christian Kjellvander, Kristofer Åström and many others.

Nordmark Records

Nordmark Records was created to work more autonomously with the creative process of making music. The launch of the label is about gaining and keeping control of the content and distributing it without intermediaries. The idea behind the label was sparked out of the frustration that occurs when musicians have to justify their music to executives whose goal is to commercialize a product and appropriate it for a wider, more generalized market. The theme recurs here by having the ambition to break free from linear thinking patterns that are inhibiting creativity and experimental content. Nordmark will release his own content as well as music created by others who share the same ambition and drive to produce unique material. Nordmark Records will release various kinds of music and genres based on sincere feeling and not based on commercial viability.

Nordmark Pod

In the Podcast, Nordmark discusses music and life with people who have chosen the path less traveled. The genuine discussions cover how people reason, live and cope with life and how desire, intuition and tenacity are the virtues that make life interesting and the factors that keep on motivating. “It is beautiful,” Nordmarks says. “I am inspired by their will and visions and I think our conversations will inspire more artists who are struggling. I’m drawn to people who have worked hard and believed in themselves even though they have not always been understood by most people. Those who dare do things differently even though life kind of sometimes smacks you in the face. You can say that in each episode of the Pod, we talk about the independent way of living; the ambition, determination and  - above all – to believe in oneself. ”
