Nordmark Records was created to work more autonomously with the creative process of making music. The launch of the label is about gaining and keeping control of the content and distributing it without intermediaries. The idea behind the label was sparked out of the frustration that occurs when musicians have to justify their music to executives whose goal is to commercialize a product and appropriate it for a wider, more generalized market. The theme recurs here by having the ambition to break free from linear thinking patterns that are inhibiting creativity and experimental content. Nordmark will release his own content as well as music created by others who share the same ambition and drive to produce unique material. Nordmark Records will release various kinds of music and genres based on sincere feeling and not based on commercial viability.
